Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Mr Peter Szijjarto and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Mr L.Purevsuren held official talks. They have paid more importance to deepening of the friendly relations and cooperation in education, environment protection, agriculture and construction spheres.
This year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Hungary. On the sidelines of the visit, the Hungarian side organized the official reopening ceremony of its Embassy in Ulaanbatar.
During the talks, Foreign minister Mr L.Purevsuren noted the reopening of the Hungarian Embassy shows that the relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Hungary is broadening and deepening.
The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing a mechanism of consultative meetings and an Intergovernmental Agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports. The Agreement allows citizens of the two countries with diplomatic and official passports to travel without visa within 90 days.
During the talks, Hungarian Foreign minister informed Mongolian side that Hungary had opened a line of credit for Mongolia. Both sides are expected to conclude the Agreement on extention plan worth 25.5 mln. dollars of the Ulaanbaatar based “Biokombinat” state-owned chemical factory.
