A ceremony for Google’s launch of its “Street View” tool for Ulaanbaatar took place at Chinggis Square
The Google Maps application now lets users see photos of Mongolia’s streets, offering a panoramic view from the ground level. Google has been working on development of its application for two years until its launch, and now Mongolia becomes the first Central Asian nation and the 61st country in the world to launch Google project to connect its capital city with millions of users worldwide.
It would provide opportunities to view streets, find locations of museums and restaurants in Ulaanbaatar from anywhere in the world by using smartphones and other devices.

Ulaanbaatar hopes to use the tool for the “Smart Ulaanbaatar” initiative that was approved this year.
