The Sharyn gol, a large coal mine located in the northern part of Mongolia, is preparing for putting into operation a coal washing plant.
With a capacity of washing 600 000 tons coal a year, the plant is being constructed with USD 10 million loan from the European Bank of Reconstruction. Presently, plant equipment testing is under way.
When the plant reaches its full capacity operation, it is planning to export its production to Russia and to the third market transporting through the railway of Russia. Foreign trade matters are discussed with the Russian side. For this purpose, the plant is preparing for the test transportation in coming months.
