Three-year research program was approved at the meeting of the economic council of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The five CIS countries intend to conduct joint search and analysis of materials suitable for construction of power plants. In addition, the United States, Korea, and Japan are showing their interest in the program. In this regard, at the Kazakh Tokamak the scientists intend to study building materials for thermonuclear reactors.
