On September 3, during the working visit of the President of the Russian Federation Mr V. Putin to Mongolia, Foreign Minister of Mongolia Mr L.Bold and Foreign Minister of Russian Federation Mr S.Lavrov signed the Intergovernmental Agreement on reciprocal visa –free travel between citizens of the two countries.
The two sides signed this agreement in order to erase the difficulties that travelers of both countries face during travel to each country.
The Agreement officially entered into force from 14th of November or from today as a sign of expanding bilateral relations between Mongolia and Russia.
Under the Agreement, holders of all types of passports of the two countries are eligible to travel to each other’s country without visa up to 30 days, but not to exceed 90 days in any 180 day-period starting from the date of first entry. In case of staying of more than 30 days, a traveler needs to apply for a visa.
