Turkistan is ready to receive guests from across the Turkic world. This year, the city was chosen to become a cultural capital. The participants will start arriving in March. Thousands of people will come on the day of the vernal equinox - Nauryz. The ethno-village is planned to be established near the world-famous mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yassawi. It will present the culture and life of the Turkic peoples. Festivals of animated films, traditional art and satire will be held during Turkistan’s post as the cultural capital of the Turkic world. In total, more than 50 events will be held here. A special tourist route, which will stretch between Shymkent and the ancient city of Sauran, was developed for the guests. The closing ceremony is scheduled for November.
