Akylbek Zhaparov proposes to open Hyundai and Kia plants in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, July 17, 2023. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov, during a meeting with Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, Chong Woo Taek, suggested the Korean side to open Hyundai and Kia automobile plants in Kyrgyzstan.

The head of the Cabinet noted that today Korea ranks first in the import of cars to Kyrgyzstan.

“We offer the Korean side to consider the possibility of opening automobile plants of leading Korean companies such as Hyundai and Kia, taking into account the membership of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Eurasian Economic Union,” he said.
