“Thailand Food Innovation Forum 2018” set May 21-22

BANGKOK, May 16 (TNA) - The Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) will organize the “Thailand Food Innovation Forum 2018” in Bangkok during May 21-22, aimed to promote innovations of the Thai cuisine in all dimensions. TCC Chairman Kalin Sarasin told journalists on Wednesday that the upcoming two-day forum will be held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in the Thai capital, during which innovations of the Thai food industry, introduced by startups, small and medium-sized food businesses, will be on display. Besides, research projects on creative products and services of the Thai food industry will be on show. According to the TCC chairman, the innovations of the Thai food industry, to be showcased during next week's forum, are believed to further boost sale volumes and exports of Thai food products in the future. Meanwhile, the Thai food industry is likely to grow by about 7 per cent year-on-year in 2018, when exports of Thai food products are anticipated to earn the Thai Kingdom at least 1.07 trillion baht.
