10 Rigs Moved To Yaran, South Azadegan Joint Fields

Tehran, Sept 10, IRNA – Deputy Managing Director of the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) for Drilling Projects Mohammad-Reza Takayedi says ten new drilling rigs have been transferred to two oil fields shared by Iran and Iraq for accelerating their development. He said the rigs have been installed at Yaran and South Azadegan fields. He added that NIDC is to drill 22 wells in Yaran and 50 development wells in South Azadegan at the order of Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC). Takayedi said five development wells have so far been drilled and completed in South Azadegan. The official said drilling of development wells will be done in the form of EPDS and concurrent with the drilling operation all logistics and sideline services will be provided./end
