11-month Non-oil Exports Hit $38bn

Tehran, Feb 25, IRNA – Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Hamid Safdel said on Sunday that based on statistics, released by the Customs Administration, 70 million tons of goods, worth $38 billion, were exported in 11 months to February 18. Safdel told a group of top exporters that based on the Customs Administrationˈs statistics, 36 million tons of goods, valued at $48 billion, were imported in the 11-month period. He said the revenues from non-oil exports, excluding oil condensates, reached $34 billion in the last Iranian calendar year of 1390 (March 21, 2011-March 20, 2012) from about 500 million dollars in the pre-Islamic Revolution era. He said the export of technical and engineering service stood at 4.2 billion dollars./end
