$152m Worth Of Goods Exported From Zanjan Province In 7 Months

Zanjan Prov., Oct 29, IRNA – Head of Customs Office of Zanjan Province Moussa Mohammadi Ganjeh said on Sunday that export of 69,899 tons of goods from Zanjan Province in the past seven months earned the country $152.162 million. Ganjeh told IRNA that the exports in the period showed increases of 25 percent in terms of value and 44 percent in terms of weight compared to the figure for the same period the year before. He said zinc ingot, transformers and related items, cables, lead ingot, zinc oxide, unwoven textiles, copper cathode and ingot, yoghurt, cheese, polypropylene thread, nylon thread wastes, raisins and tomato paste were amog the items exported in the period. He added that the exported items were shipped to Turkey, Iraq, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Germany, China, Azerbaijan, Italy, the UAE, Afghanistan, Armenia, Slovakia, Hungary, the Netherlands and Tajikistan. The official said that in the period under study, 27,850 tons of industrial goods were imported to the province from Turkey, Germany, Sweden, the UAE, Poland, France, Italy, Korea, Belgium, Check Republic, Finland, Bulgaria, India, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Taiwan, Switzerland, the US and Turkmenistan at a cost of 104.913 million dollars. The imports rose by 158 percent in weight and 73 percent in value compared to the figures for the similar period last year, he added./end
