1st Int'l Marine Exhibit Planned

Tehran, Jan 14, IRNA – First International Marine Exhibition will be held from January 28-30 with an aim of displaying Iran's marine achievements. Deputy head of Ports and Shipping Organization for sea affairs Seyyed Ali Stiri told reporters on Sunday that the event to be organized with the motto of 'Sea, Axis of Development' will provide an opportunity for exchange of views by experts and promoting scientific and cultural cooperation between Iran and other countries. Introducing suitable patterns for the public to use sea for recreational purposes, getting acquaintance with water sports, introducing investment opportunities in the field of ports, fisheries and free trade zones and renewable energies are among other objectives of the upcoming exhibition, he noted. Various seminars and festivals will be held concurrent with the exhibition, Stiri said, adding that 30 percent of the participants will be foreign companies and 70 percent Iranian firms./end
