222,000 Oil Barrels To Be Produced From Southwestern Oil Fields

Ahvaz, Khouzestan Prov., July 2, IRNA – Managing Director of Arvandan Oil and Gas Company Salbali Karimi says 22,000 barrels of oil are daily produced out of Azadegan, Jofeir, Yadavaran, and Darkhoein fields west of Karun in Khuzestan Province. Karimi told reporters on Sunday that $350 million is needed to be invested in the project to raise the oil refining capacity so as to upgrade quality of oil produced at oil wells west of Karun River. He hoped that the project will be implemented by Bahman 22 (February 11, 2013), marking triumph anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Commenting on his company’s performance last year, Karimi said the company managed to attain 96 percent of its targets. Arvandan Oil & Gas Company is engaged in exploration and production of oil and gas. The company was founded in 1985 and is based in Khorramshahr port city.
