350 big companies are coaching SMEs

BANGKOK, July 12 (TNA) -- The Department of Industrial Promotion says about 350 large-scaled companies have volunteered to coach small- and medium-sized enterprises on international businesses, expecting about 20,000 SMEs to benefit from the project this year. Kobchai Sangsitthisawat, director-general of the department, said the big companies offered the help under the department’s “Big Brother Guarantee Success Solution” project intended for the sake of SMEs’ sustainable growth. The coach companies are from various industries and areas and their coaching activities have started. The activities include training, consultation, marketing initiatives, business matching, business reform, and processed agriculture. The project should benefit about 20,000 SMEs this year, Mr Kobchai said. He suggested SMEs seek the services at local branches of the department. (END)
