$3b Goods Exported From Pars Special Zone In Three Months

Bushehr, July 2, IRNA -- Some 4,300,000 tons goods worth $3.74b were exported from Pars Special Zone Customs House in the past three months, caretaker of customs affairs of Pars Energy Special Economic Zone Organization said on Tuesday. Seyyed Mohammad Mahdavi added that large portion of the commodities was exported to China, South Korea, Japan, India and other regional states. Contributing to the sound and legal trend of imports and exports are among major objectives of the Pars Special Zone Customs House. Efforts are underway to export products of Pars Special Zone with the least formalities and in the shortest time, he said. Mahdavi further noted that goods transit, re-export, global trade and job generating are among the main activities of the customs house. Commodities worth $14.350b were exported from Pars Special Zone Customs House last year, with gas condensates accounting for $8.5b and non-oil goods for $5.8b, he said. Some 325,000 tons of goods including refinery equipment and chemicals used in petrochemical industry and South Pars phases were imported through the customs house last year, Mahdavi said./end
