3rd session of Azerbaijan-Serbia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade & Economic Cooperation held in Belgrade

Baku, March 5 (AzerTAc). The 3rd session of the Azerbaijan-Serbia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation has been held in Belgrade. The meeting was co-chaired by Azerbaijani Economy and Industry Minister Shahin Mustafayev and Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and Minister of Foreign & Domestic Commerce and Communications Rasim Lyaich. Addressing the event, Mustafayev hailed Azerbaijan-Serbia relations. He underlined the role of reciprocal visits of the two countries` presidents in strengthening the political and economic ties. Mustafayev said Azerbaijan and Serbia supported each other on the international level in different areas, especially in the field of territorial integrity. Mustafayev also highlighted what had been done by the commission since its 2nd meeting. Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Lyaich said Serbia attached great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan. The sides signed a protocol on the outcomes of the session. The document provides for further progress of cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, economy, investment, tourism, education, environment, and youth affairs. In Belgrade, the Azerbaijani delegation visited a monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev in Tasmajdan park. Mustafayev also met Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic to discuss prospects for Azerbaijan-Serbia cooperation.
