402 Welfare Projects Implemented, Construction Work of 416 Projects Underway In Herat

Herat City (BNA) At a cost of AFN 228,200,000 funded by Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) 402 welfare projects have been completed in western Herat province. The projects encompass retaining walls, canals, water supplies, schools, cultural complexes, roads, irrigation systems, digging of water wells with installing hand pumps, which completed in Anjeel, Karkh and Kahastan districts of the province, Aqa Mohammad Sadiqi head of rural rehabilitation and development department of Herat reported BNA. Hundreds families in different communities had an opportunity to gain access to basic human needs upon completion of these projects. Meanwhile, at the cost of over 223, 000, 000 Afghanis the construction work of 416 public utility projects underway in various parts of Herat province, Sadiqi added. It is also mentionable that at the cost of more than 52, 000, 000 Afghanis the construction work and asphalting of 5 km road has started in Anjeel district and road gravelling of 8 km road has begins in Gozara district of the province. All these projects have been completed and will be implemented by programs of ministry of rural rehabilitation and development.
