56th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair set Sept 10-14

BANGKOK, August 28 (TNA) - Gem and jewelry exporters and traders from 160 countries have confirmed to join the 56th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair, set to be held from September 10-14, 2015. Chantira Jimreivat Vivatrat, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Trade Promotion, under the Thai Ministry of Commerce, told journalists that the fair, to be held at the IMPACT Trade and Exhibition Center in Muang Thong Thani on the outskirts of Bangkok, is expected to attract over 1,500 operators and over 30,000 visitors from the 160 participating countries. Chantira said import duty is waived for products to be on display and sold at the event, which also includes relevant seminars, exhibitions and business matching. The senior official assessed that the upcoming five-day event should boost the value of Thai gem and jewelry exports to grow by 3 per cent this year, as targeted. (TNA)
