6th Exhibition On Iran's Aerospace Capabilities To Open Dec 11

Tehran, Dec 9, IRNA – Aerospace industries section of the Sixth International Exhibition on Aviation Industries scheduled to be held on Kish Island during December 11-14 will feature Iran's high capabilities in the field of aerospace. Managing director of Armed Forces' Aviation Industries Organization Manuchehr Manteqi told a news meeting Saturday that holding such exhibitions is one of the ways to revolutionize Iran's aviation industries. Referring to Iran's high capabilities in the field of aerospace, he also said that the exhibition will seek to introduce the capabilities to the world. The event will also provide an opportunity for Iranian companies to get acquainted with their foreign counterparts and conclude agreements in a bid to neutralize the sanctions, Manteqi said. Pointing to Iran's capability in building passenger planes, the official said, "We have built 52-seat planes which have started their international flights." Manteqi also said that Iran has gained high capabilities in designing and building helicopters and this year's exhibition mainly focuses on helicopters. "We are also seeking to implement projects jointly with Muslim countries and for the same reason we have invited guests from these countries," he noted. Organized by the Union of Aerospace Industries in cooperation with the Aviation Industries Organization and Headquarters for Development of Aerospace Technology, the exhibition would be attended by more than 150 companies and organizations involved in the aerospace industry. Participating countries in the event include Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Malaysia, Venezuela, Sudan and China, Manteqi said./end
