750,000 barrels of gas condensates from phases 15, 16 to export soon

Tehran, Jan 24, IRNA – The executor of phases 15 and 16 in South Pars announced export of the first consignment of gas condensates of the two phases in coming days. 750,000 barrels of gas condensates from phases 15, 16 to export soon Reza Forouzesh said currently tanks for the storage and installations related to the gas condensate unit have been delivered to Iran Oil Terminals Company in order to start loading operations and export the cargo. Referring to the production of 4 million cubic meters of gas in phases 15 and 16 of South Pars, he said in coming days the amount will increase to about 40 million cubic meters. Phases 15 and 16 have been described as 'the most Iranian' phases in South Pars and Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh is satisfied with its progress. The development project will be put into operation according to the schedule. The objective behind development of phases 15 and 16 is daily production of 56.6 million cubic meters of natural gas, 75 barrels of gas condensates, 400 tons of sulfur and annual production of 1.05 million tons of LPG (propane and butane) and one million tons of ethane for feeding petrochemical units. The onshore and offshore installations of the two phases include two drilling platforms (each including 11 wells), two 32-inch pipelines for transfer of gas with an approximate length of 115 km, two 4.5-inch pipelines for transfer of glycol with an approximate length of 115 km and sweetening units and related services.
