Abbasi: Russian Contractor To Hand Over Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant To Iran Soon

Tehran, April 9, IRNA – Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Fereydoun Abassi Davani said preliminary phase of transferring Bushehr’s nuclear power plant to Iran from the Russian contractor has been completed. He said the delivery will took place by late this month. He made the remark on the sidelines of a ceremony to celebrate the National Nuclear Technology Day which was also attended by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Abbasi noted that minor faults in the launching of the power plant’s electricity generator were removed. According to the official, the power plant is to be ultimately transferred to the Iranian contractor after elapse of the guarantee period by the Russian firm./end
