ADX wins ITP .Gov Award 2017 for applying Blockchain technology in e-Voting services

ABU DHABI, 30th March, 2017 (WAM) -- Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, ADX, has won the ITP .Gov Award 2017 for applying the Blockchain technology in e-Voting services. The exchange launched Blockchain for e-Voting services during Gulf Information Technology Exhibition, GITEX, last year. The launch is considered the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa region's financial markets as it employs the latest innovations, which goes in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution. ADX Blockchain e-Voting Service allows parties concerned to directly connect and monitor voting in any Annual General Meeting (AGM), saving time, cost, and effort, and ensuring higher turnouts and more engagement at AGMs. It is considered an effective way to communicate via safe internet connections from anywhere in the world.
