Affin Bank Partners ICD To Identify Strategic Collaborations In Asia

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 14 (Bernama) -- Affin Bank Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) to cooperate and identify areas for strategic collaborations within the Asian region. ICD is the private sector arm of Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group in Saudi Arabia. Through this strategic collaboration, both parties will offer technical and advisory support particularly on product development and Shariah concept, Affin Bank said in a statement. Under the agreement, co-operation will also be achieved through the exchange of information and identification of business opportunities in ICD's member countries. Affin Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Kamarul Ariffin Mohd Jamil said the strategic alliance would catapult Affin Bank Group and ICD to a new level that will revolutionise the Islamic finance landscape.
