AFMM, ACGM To Reach Its Peak On Saturday

KUALA LUMPUR, March 21 (Bernama) -- The 19th ASEAN Finance Ministers' Meeting and the 11th ASEAN Central Bank Governors' Meeting will reach its peak on Saturday to prepare for the realisation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) by year-end. Policymakers, governors and delegates from the 10 ASEAN member states will intensify their meetings concurrently to discuss the future of the region. ASEAN Secretary General and finance ministers will then gather to participate in the Entrepreneurs' Gathering followed by the ASEAN-US Business Council Luncheon Meeting. An inaugural joint meeting between ASEAN Finance Ministers' and Central Bank Governors will also kickoff after the luncheon. The ASEAN Finance Ministers' Meeting and Related Meetings, which began on March 19, is organised by the Ministry of Finance in conjunction with the Malaysia ASEAN chairmanship. The three-day 1ASEAN Entrepreneurship Mini Summit (Mini 1AES), a prelude to the 1AES, will also end Saturday. 1AES is scheduled for Nov 20-22, 2015, to reinforce AEC in a tangible way. -- BERNAMA
