African Countries Keen On Business Deals In Malaysia's Sabah

KOTA KINABALU (Sabah, Malaysia), Sept 20 (Bernama) -- African countries are interested in doing business in east Malaysian state of Sabah and to strengthen relations in trade, investment and people-to-people relationship. South Africa High Commissioner to Malaysia, Thami Mseleku, said a delegation would soon meet the state minister of industries, businessmen, Malaysia International Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sabah branch and manufacturers to explore the business opportunities. "We will see from the meeting if we can form partnerships," he said in a statement issued by Sabah Information Department here Friday. Mseleku led an official delegation of ambassadors and high commissioners from seven African countries -- Kenya, Senegal, Lesotho, Ghana, Algeria and Swaziland, to pay a courtesy call on Sabah Head of State, Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, here Friday. Juhar also received another courtesy call from a three-member delegation of the Bratisiava Regional Chamber of Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its director Juraj Majtan. Majtan said this was their first visit to Sabah and expressed interest to try and make contacts and sign contracts in business ventures. --BERNAMA
