BANGKOK, May 18 (TNA) – The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives will organise the SIMA ASEAN Thailand 2018 in June to show off agricultural innovations of Southeast Asia.

Lertviroj Kowattana, permanent secretary of the ministry, said the fair was aimed at exhibiting agricultural innovations and the work philosophy of King Rama IX. He expected more than 1,000 local farmers to visit the fair set at the IMPACT convention and exhibition complex in Nonthaburi on June 6-8.

The fair will introduce agricultural innovations that will help farmers develop their products. There will also be seminars for gurus from the government and the private sectors to share their expertise with farmers, Mr Lertviroj said.

Thailand had organised the fair for three times in a bid to become a Southeast Asian hub of agricultural technologies and bring Thai farmers to international standard. (TNA)
