Agrobank Malaysia Wins Prestigious Award For Financial Inclusion

KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 (Bernama) -- Agrobank Malaysia on Monday received a prestigious award from the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia Pacific (ADFIAP) for the bank's outstanding work in financial inclusion particularly to the agriculture community and underserved segment. The awards ceremony was held in the city of Apia, Samoa on Monday. Agrobank President and Chief Executive Officer Wan Mohd Fadzmi Wan Othman said the international recognition was a testament to Agrobank's efforts towards providing access to finance particularly to the unserved and underserved community. "We are deeply honoured to receive this prestigious award," Wan Mohd Fadzmi said in a statement here. Established in 1997, the ADFIAP awards is recognised for honouring individuals and institutions which have contributed significantly to the development of their respective countries.
