Airbus Increases Prices Of Aircraft By One Pct In 2017

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 (Bernama) -- Airbus has increased the average list prices of its aircraft by one percent across the product line, effective Jan 1, 2017. In a statement, it said the price increase was calculated according to Airbus’ standard escalation formula over the January 2016 to January 2017 period and takes into account the materials and commodities prices. "Our new 2017 pricing affirms the value of Airbus’ modern, comprehensive and fuel-efficient aircraft family,"Airbus Commercial Aircraft's Chief Operating Officer Customers, John Leahy said. He added that the price increase also reflects customer satisfaction with the winning combination of performance, operating economics and passenger experience. With the increase, Airbus' aircraft 2017 average list prices for the A318 is US$75.9 million, A319 (US$90.5 million), A320 (US$99 million), A321 (US$116 million), A319neo (US$99.5 million), A320neo (US$108.4 million), A321neo (US$127 million), A330-200 (US$233.8 million) and A330-800 (neo) (US$254.8 million). The A330-200 Freighter will be US$237 million, A330-300 (US$259 million), A330-900 (neo) (US$290.6 million), A350-800 (US$275.1 million), A350-900 (US$311.2 million), A350-1000 (US$359.3 million) and A380 (US$436.9 million). -- BERNAMA
