Ambassador: Russia, Good Market For Iranian Automakers

Tehran, June 30, IRNA – Iranˈs Ambassador to Moscow Mehdi Sanaee on Sunday invited Iranian carmakers to play a much active the role in Russian market. He made the remarks in a special ceremony on re-export of Iranian automobiles (Iran Khodro) to Russia. Referring to current developments between the two countries, he invited all businessmen especially the carmakers to make investment in Russian market. Iranˈs Embassy in Moscow is ready to fully support Iranian businessmen and industrialists to enter into Russian market, he said. The Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia have many economic common grounds, he pointed out. Trade between the two countries stood over dlrs four billion a year in the past, but, decreased to dlrs 1.5 in recent years but the figure soared up again gradually, he said. The ambassador said that the ground for expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries is well-prepared and the businessmen are expected to seize the opportunity and enter into the Russian market. Trade between Iran and Russia registered a 30 percent growth in the first five months of the current year (2014), he said/end
