Anzali Fee Zone Links Qatar With Caspian Littoral States

Anzali, Gilan Prov., Sept 16, IRNA - Visiting Head of Qatar-Iran Friendship Group Masoud ibn Abdullah al-Hanzab said: “Anzali Free Zone is the link between Qatar and the Caspian Sea littoral states.” In a meeting with Managing Director of Anzali Free Zone Organization Reza Masrour, the Qatari official said the zone, due to being situated on the sideline of the Caspian Sea and with regard to its ample capacities in the field of trade and agriculture is of high importance to Qatar. He said due to the problems emerged in Jordanian, Syrian and Lebanese markets as Qatar’s trade partners, “we are after replacing them with new markets.” He said speed in transportation of commodities and access to goods is among Qatar’s priorities in its deals with Iran. He expressed hope that through this approach the volume of trade will increase between the two countries./
