Armenian Energy Min. Stresses Continued Collaboration With Iran

Moscow, May 22, IRNA – Armenian Energy Minister Armen Movsisian underlined the need for continued cooperation between his country and Iran. Movsisian, who also heads the Joint Armenia-Iran Cooperation Commission told reporters that Armenia will continue purchasing gas from Iran. ˈPurchase of gas from Iran takes place in accordance with barter deal on swap of Armenianˈs electricity with Iranˈs gas,ˈ Movsisian said. He noted that Armenia gives its electricity to Iran in lieu of receiving Iranˈs gas.
