Auto sales expected to meet target at Motor Expo 2015

NONTHABURI, Dec 5 (TNA) - Sales of new automobiles and motorcycles at the ongoing 32nd Thailand International Motor Expo 2015 are expected to meet target of 50,000 units and over 55 billion baht changed hands. Kwanchai Papaspong, organiser of the event said reservation of new autos and motorcycles during the past four days totaled about 5,000 units. A total of 11 manufacturing countries have displayed 34 brands at the Motor Expo at IMPACT Challenger, Muang Thong Thani. The Expo is scheduled to end on December 13. Mr. Kwanchai said it is expected that some 1.5 million people would visit the Expo. It is believed that people who planned to own a new car would make a decision now before the government raises excise tax for auto from next January 1. (TNA)
