Azerbaijan to purchase Russian aircrafts

Baku, June 8, AZERTAC Russian leasing company "Ilyushin Finance" and "Azerbaijan Airlines" (AZAL) have signed a Memo of interest for the acquisition of the 10 aircrafts MS-21. The document was signed in the presence of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, and First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Yagub Eyyubov, TASS reported. Document was signed by the general director of "Ilyushin Finance Co." LLC Alexander Rubtsov and general director of "Azerbaijan Airlines" Jahangir Askarov. MS-21 ("Main plane of the 21st century") is assembled and developed by the "Irkut" corporation. This is the first short and medium rage Russian plane.
