Azerbaijan Railways, ADB to expand cooperation

Baku, November 15, AZERTAC Chair of Azerbaijan Railways Javid Gurbanov and Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Wencai Zhang have explored the ways of expanding bilateral cooperation as they met in Baku. Gurbanov provided an insight into the reforms carried out in the railway system of Azerbaijan, including measures to upgrade the railway infrastructure, build international transport corridors via the territory of Azerbaijan and transform the country into a regional transportation hub. Zhang hailed the restructuring of the railroads in Azerbaijan, as well as institutional, financial and legal reforms carried out in the country.
