Azerbaijani Minister of Economy and Industry meets German MPs

Baku, September 17 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev has met a delegation of the German Bundestag. The delegation included Bundestag's Economic Affairs and Energy Committee Peter Ramsauer and Chairman of the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development Dagmar Wohrl, as well as German ambassador to Azerbaijan Heidrun Tempel. Mustafayev noted that the Azerbaijan-Germany cooperation had been developing successfully, and stressed the importance of reciprocal visits in terms of the expansion of bilateral relations. He said the Azerbaijan-Germany working group on inter-parliamentary relations, as well as High Level Working Group on Trade and Investments contributed to developing ties between the two countries. “For the present, 177 German companies are operating in Azerbaijan in different areas. Azerbaijan closely cooperates with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and KfW bank, and implements joint projects.” The Azerbaijani Minister noted that the trade between the two countries increased 25% to $2.2 bln in 2013. Peter Ramsauer and Dagmar Wohrl praised the socio-economic development in Azerbaijan.
