Azerbaijani President: We managed to attract 230 billion dollars of investment in 15 years

Baku, May 27, AZERTAC President Ilham Aliyev has said Azerbaijan managed to attract 230 billion dollars of investment in 15 years. “Our measures to tackle poverty, unemployment are highly appreciated by the world community,” said the head of state as he addressed a commencement ceremony at ADA University. “We are a young independent state. But we rank 35th in terms of competitiveness in the world. We rank third among developing countries in terms of inclusive development index.” The head of state expressed his confidence that the country would cope with the tasks ahead, saying “we have a strong economic potential, very positive international influence.” “We have a very dynamic society, active youth, well-educated citizens and strong political will. The primary task is to ensure long term sustainable development of our country,” the President added.
