Azerbaijan`s investments in Kazakhstan over past 10 years made up $168 mln, Kazakh Minister of Finance

Baku, January 17, AZERTAC Azerbaijan`s investments in Kazakhstan for the past 10 years amounted to $168 million, while Kazakhstan invested approximately $20 million in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan`s Minister of Finance, Bakhyt Sultanov, said during a meeting of Kazakhstan`s parliament. During the meeting, Kazakhtan`s parliament ratified the protocol between the governments of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion with respect to income and property taxes, according to KAZINFORM. The Kazakh minister stressed the important role of the protocol of the legislative base in the questions of taxation matters between the two states. The Minister stated that ratification of the protocol will help foster cooperation of both states` tax authorities through enhanced exchange of information. Speaking about the economic cooperation between the two countries, the Minister highlighted that Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan trade turnover over the past 10 years has reached $2.8 bln.
