Bahrain, Sudan discuss investment opportunities

Manama, May 16 (BNA): Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Chairman Khalid bin Abdulrahman Almoayyed received at Beit Al-Tejjar Sudanese Ambassador Abdulrahman Khalil Ahmed Afandi and discussed joint cooperation. He affirmed the desire of the private sector in Bahrain to seize investment opportunities in the Sudan and develop joint economic cooperation, particularly in the sectors of food industry, agriculture, aluminum and fertilizers. The meeting was attended by BCCI Chief Executive Officer Nabil Abdulrahman Al-Mahmoud and other administrative staff attended the meeting. According to latest figures released by the Central Informatics Organisations as per March 2016, the volume of trade exchanges stand at US $ 773,000. The Sudanese ambassador pointed out the promising investment opportunities in his country, stressing particularly agricultural potential and animal husbandry. He also invited the chamber and the private sector to economic functions and explore investment opportunities in the Sudan.
