Bahraini-Russian economic cooperation reviewed

Manama, Feb 17 (BNA) – Chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khalid Abdulrahman Al-Moayyad, today received Russia's Ambassador to Bahrain, Victor Smirnov, and stressed the importance of promoting economic and investment relations between the two countries. He said exchanging visits and intensifying meetings will assist in strengthening cooperation relations, praising the role of the Russian Embassy in promoting bilateral cooperation. The two sides discussed ways to bolster economic and trade cooperation, and facilitating procedures for granting business visas, which will be positively reflected on trade exchange. Russian Ambassador hailed the developmental reforms made in the prosperous era of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He called on Bahraini businessmen to explore investment opportunities available in Russia, pointing out the notable growth witnessed by economic and agricultural sectors in Russia. He invited Bahraini private sector to participate in key economic forums to be held in Russia, among of them Moscow International Exhibition Travel and Tourism on 18-21 March 2015, and St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on 18-20 June 2015.
