Banten's Exports Down 8.44 Pct In July

Serang, Banten, Sept 5 (Antara) - Exports of the province of Banten declined 8.44 percent to US$827.79 million in July from US$904.34 million in the previous months Head of the Banten branch of the Central Bureau of Statistics Syech Suhaimi said footwear was the largest contributor to the export value of the province in July. Its exports of footwear were worth US$160.69 million , followed by exports of organic chemicals and plastic valued at US$79.94 million and US$64.25 million respectively. Suhaimi said the main export destination of commodities form Banten include the United States to which exports were valued at US$141.58 million in July , followed by China to which exports were valued at US$80.45 million and Japan US$69.06 million.
