Bid to educate people on digital economy

BANGKOK, June 3 (TNA) -- A caravan to offer knowledge to people on digital economy has been released with an objective to boost people income through using innovative technology, said Wilailuk Chuliwattanakul, permanent secretary for Digital Economy and Society. Ms Wilailuk said under the concept of ‘Digital Transformation 2017’, the first caravan was released Friday to Maha Sarakham province. The caravan will spend two days in each province and it will visit altogether 12 provinces nationwide. Activities to be held under the ‘Digital Transformation 2017’ include an exhibition by using AR technology and Multi Vision TV plus seminars to be conducted by digital economy experts, and a display of e-Commerce in an effort to provide an online and trading through an internet. If the programme succeeded, it could help boost people income from medium to high level and eventually driving the national economy, Ms Wilailuk added. (TNA)
