Bidding contests for Thailand's new electric rail projects set in 2015

BANGKOK, October 1 (TNA) - The government will organize bidding contests for the construction of Thailand's eight new electric rail projects in 2015. Deputy Prime Minister MR Pridiyathorn Devakula, who oversees economic affairs, told journalists of the plan on Wednesday, saying that private firms are, therefore, welcome to join next year's bidding contests for the eight mega-investment projects. According to the deputy prime minister, the eight infrastructure development projects are part of the Thai government's new economic stimulus measures he proposed for the Cabinet's consideration on October 1. Bidding contests for Thailand's remaining two new electric rail projects will be later organized. (TNA)
