BNL wins insurance award

By Farishta Saeed Manama, Feb.9 (BNA): Bahrain National Life Insurance (bnl) has won the Middle East Insurance Forum (MEIF) 2016 Best Performing Insurance Company – Middle East Life Insurance Award. Central Bank of Bahrain's Executive Director of Financial Institutions Supervision Abdul Rahman Al Baker presented the award to bnl General Manager Sahar Al Ajjawi. Ms Al Ajjawi said, "bnl was delighted to have been selected to receive this award, which is considered as one of the most prestigious awards in the industry. "This is indeed a great honour," she said. The annual MEIF Institutional Excellence Award, which gathered over 400 insurance professionals from across the world, recognised the best performing Insurance companies within the GCC, Levant and wider Middle East, as well as those in the Life and Non-Life insurance segments. Ehsan Abbas, Chairman of Middle East Global Advisors, the conveners or MEIF Ehsan Abbas said: "The award winners should be commended on the quality and dedication of the management team to serve the Middle East insurance industry whilst maintaining sound fundamentals. Major achievements, innovations and excellence in the regional insurance industry were recognised at the 12th Annual Middle East Insurance Forum (MEIF 2016) award ceremony held under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain and in partnership with the leading insurance companies of the region. The 13th annual edition of Middle East Insurance Forum will take place in February 2017.
