BNM International Reserves At RM381.5 Bln As Of March 13

KUALA LUMPUR, March 20 (Bernama) -- Bank Negara Malaysia's (BNM) international reserves amounted to RM381.5 billion (equivalent to US$109.2 billion) as at March 13, 2015. The central bank, in a statement, said the reserves position was sufficient to finance 7.8 months of retained imports and was 1.1 times the short-term external debt. The bank said the main components of the international reserves were foreign currency reserves (US$99.7 billion), International Monetary Fund position (US$0.9 billion), Special Drawing Rights (US$1.9 billion), gold (US$1.4 billion) and other reserve assets (US$5.3 billion). -- BERNAMA
