BRICS Bank and AIIB may become concession partners in financing Silk Road investment projects - Russia's Finance Minister Siluanov

MOSCOW, July 7. / TASS / The New Development Bank and Asian Development Bank may become concession partners in financing the Silk Road investment projects, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters on Tuesday. "Within the framework of the infrastructure project, we can talk about the creation of the Silk Road with China. The New Development Bank and the Asian Development Bank may become concessionaires to build such a project," Siluanov said. He explained that such interactions will increase the trade turnover between the two countries and will benefit the economies of both countries. The new Silk Road project involves the implementation of railway and road building projects, oil and gas pipelines, electricity and information networks, the development of maritime trade routes that should link the countries in Central, West and South Asia with Greece, Russia and Oman to create a bridge from China to Europe and Africa.
