Carousell Acquires Caarly To Tap Into Cars Classifieds Vertical

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- Mobile classifieds application company, Carousell, has acquired a Singapore startup, Caarly, to strongly position it for leadership in the cars classifieds vertical. Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Siu Rui Quek said the acquisition allowed the company to tap into Caarly's relationship with car dealers, to give users the widest selection of vehicles on a classifieds marketplace. He added in a statement that the acquisition also enabled it to simplify the online buying and selling experience for all users, by making it easier for car dealers and individual sellers with a smartphone to snap, list, sell in just 30 seconds. Caarly is a mobile-first productivity tool that makes it easier for used car dealerships to manage their inventory. Since its launch in Singapore in 2014, Caarly has been a trusted partner to more than 200 car dealers, who make up a significant proportion of the dealerships in Singapore. -- BERNAMA
