CEMENT PLANT TO BE COMPLETED IN 2013

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A construction of a cement plant to produce one million ton of cement and of 780,000 tone of clinker per year will be erected in Sergelen soum of Tuv aimag. A head of the administration office of the province, Ts.Mendsaikhan said about it. The project was negotiated during a visit of former President of China, Hu Jintao in Mongolia in 2009. The construction is invested by China National Materials Group Corporation government-administered enterprise. The Chinese Lian He Cement Corporation will realize the project in two stages. At the first one, it will establish a dry technology production line for producing 2,500 tons cement, then--a cement grinding mill for granulating one million ton cement, and will create a possibility for producing one million tone cement and 780,000 tone clinker per year. The cement plant has been planned to be put into operation within this year. The plant will also create 200 jobs and pay tax of USD 4.4 million annually, according to a preliminary calculation.
