Chambers of Commerce of Russia and Vietnam sign new cooperation agreement

HANOI, March 14. /TASS/. The Chambers of Commerce of Russia and Vietnam have signed a cooperation agreement in Hanoi, President of the Russian chamber Sergey Katyrin told TASS on Thursday. He is heading a delegation of representatives of Russian businesses who arrived in Vietnam with a business mission sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. "This document will replace the old agreement on cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries, which has been in force since 2007," Katyrin said. According to him, the new agreement will make it possible to actively use the opportunities of the chambers to develop regional cooperation, organize the exchange of business delegations and business information, which is especially important in the new trade conditions, taking into account the free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Vietnam. "The Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with its partner, the Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is ready to join the task of creating the necessary conditions for the further expansion and deepening of cooperation between the companies of our countries," Katyrin stressed. He noted that the current visit of the Russian delegation to Vietnam is the first in the last 10 years. The delegation includes over 20 people, in particular heads of the territorial chambers that actually represent the whole of Russia. The delegation members from the business community represent such areas of cooperation as: agriculture, engineering, infrastructure construction, petrochemical equipment, furniture production and online trading.
