China to buy 1m tonnes of Thai rice

BANGKOK, February 25 (TNA) - China has agreed to buy one million tonnes of Thai rice annually under a government-to-government deal. The agreement was announced after a meeting between Thailand's Caretaker Prime Minister and Defence Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Ning Fukui in Bangkok on Tuesday. Details of the G-to-G agreement will be discussed within a few weeks.(TNA)
