China Keen To Invest In E.Azarbaijan: Governor General

Tabriz, E. Azarbaijan prov, April 8, IRNA – East Azarbaijan Governor General Ahmad Alireza Beighi announced that the Chinese economic activists are interested to make investments in the province. In a meeting with the visiting Chinese delegation, he underlined the firm resolve of the provincial officials to attract capitals and remove obstacles in the way of foreign investment. Referring to Iranˈs economic and industrial capabilities, he added that transfer of Chinese experience to the province is significant. The governor-general said that the Fourth East Azarbaijan Investment Opportunities will be held on July 6-7, and he invited the Chinese businessmen to take part in the event. Head of the Chinese delegation, for his part, referred to the development of the East Azarbaijan province and said that this indicates the governmentˈs further attention to the province. ˈFor the same reason, we are interested in investment in the province,ˈ he said. Pointing to the western sanctions against Iran, he added that the sanctions will have no impact on bilateral trade. ˈWe will continue our ties with Iran,ˈ he noted, adding that promoting ties with East Azarbaijan is important to China. ˈWe will promote our trade relations with the province on the three fields of generating electricity from solar energy, auto-making industry and petrochemicals./end
